15 year-old Cobain loves his mother Mia unconditionally although she has never been able to take care of him. She lives on the streets and can’t get a grip on her life, even though she is now heavily pregnant with another child. When Cobain demands that Mia gets help for herself and the baby, they have a bitter argument and separate. He finds shelter with Mia’s ex-boyfriend Wickmayer, a man who pimps out young immigrant women. Supporting them in their daily lives, Cobain finally feels like he has found a home. But when Mia comes knocking, he realizes he has to take responsibility for her once again.
